A few weeks back we had announced that Unity 10 was about to be released, and today it looks like the version has finally been announced.
As usual, the official blog is still on, and as we expected, there’s a lot more to come.
There’s a ton of new features, including an improved UI, better compatibility with the Unity desktop, better performance, and a whole host of new game modes, including one called ‘Dance’.
The Unity team has also updated the app’s name to Unity 11, and the name of the new game mode is ‘Bubble’.
It’s worth pointing out that Unity 11 will not be a standalone game, but rather a part of the Unity platform that will be available for download in the near future.
The first version of Unity 10 also had an alpha release in March of last year, but that was followed by a beta release in April of last season, and then a beta for the whole family.
So, while the release date for Unity 11 may not be until April 1, 2019, it’s clear that the team is very excited about it.
There is no word yet on a price tag, but we’ll update you if we hear any more.
