The Android operating system is not as secure as it could be, according to a new report from security researchers from the US-based security firm FireEye.
FireEye has created a tool that will allow you to remotely disable an Android device from using Google Camera.
While the tool does not require any user interaction, it allows users to disable the camera altogether and turn off all camera features, including image stabilization, flash, and the ability to take still pictures.
If you are interested in this feature, the FireEye website offers an instructions manual to download the software and then follow the instructions.
The software is available for free for a limited time on the Google Play store, and there is a version available for $9.99.
The FireEye researchers have also created a Chrome extension for Android that allows you to disable Camera functionality for a specific device and it has a version that will work for most Android devices, including the Pixel C, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, and Pixel CXL.
